Birthdays and more running

Last weekend we ran at a track a few miles from home. It was OK, I like running on the street more. I got to test some new shoes Heather got me. They're pretty comfortable and incredibly light. Incredibly light. I think each shoe maybe weighs about as much as an empty big gulp cup. Or 156 grams. Or 5 ounces.

In ten days I will be riding my first Century in 3 years!

On the 31st I'll be running my first 10k.

I really love shoe design, they're the only piece of clothing a man can really have fun with. I really like a lot of Nike's shoes.

For Heathers birthday I got her new running shoes in return. She has kind of a funky foot size and no one in the city had womens running shoes that fit. Just mens, which are ugly when you're a girl and want running shoes.

We're going running again tonight and I'm looking forward to it. The weather was nice this morning but its gotten a bit more muggy this afternoon. Bike riding has become kind of monotonous, and I am tired of riding in the humid weather. I am soaked with sweat when I get home, literally dripping. I'm kind of looking forward to winter when there are less bikes out, and drivers are more cautious because of the messy streets.
