Mostly

I finished my christmas shopping. Well, the shopping that includes the big expensive items. I'd love to get more things if I could afford it.

I just spent most of the day working on some art, eating, playing video games (gran turismo 4 and splinter cell 3). Now what?

Christmas

I just got 2/3 of my christmas shopping done (or 2/4 if I can afford one more thing for my cousins daughter). I wish I knew what I wanted for christmas. I've got a PSP but I havent been able to find any good games for it. I rarely use my windows PC, but I've been eyeing a mac mini for a while, however they're still expensive! There are rumors of super cool mac minis just around the corner, they're kind of underpowered for graphic work too, might as well save up for a powermac on my own.

I've also been saving up for a new camera phone, the s710a. There are a few deals on craigslist for like half price, since its outrageously expensive to buy it new w/o the contract rebates. I don't need a new contract because I already have one! But that phone looks awesome, I could use it for work when we take secret photos while shopping.

I'll be happy with whatever I get, if I get anything!

I had the most awesome dream of a video game idea. It was a lot like splinter cell only you had npc's that were actually smart. You had a dog npc that smelled enemies coming up, and would go off and get lost, and every once in a while you would run into the dog again and he'd have a grenade or something for you and a sort of robot dude that watched your back for you.

The whole game took place in an abandoned russian military base that was covered in snow. If you even stuck your head by a window there would be a sniper watching you and would take the shot. But there was no time limit and it wasnt like you were in a hurry to escape, or get a key or anything. Well, you did have to escape but to do so you had to cause a chain of events, but the big dramatic event at the end of the level was actually totally easy to walk right passed if you're not paying attention so you'd have to be really clever.

Very lonely, like shadow of the colossus, but at the same time there would be enemies to watch out for like in splinter cell or thief, but far less enemies than a traditional stealth game.
Man, the whole thing seemed so cool in my head. I even named it Spook.

take backs

So I went back to Target today to return Resident Evil 4 (ps2) and my apple in ear phones. I ended up trading them for a no-dry mr.clean car wash kit(!), 2 new wiper blades (just installed em!), new in ear phones made by sony (which fit MUCH nicer) and a 201 piece black and decker drilling and screw driving set (woot!).

There was a power-outtage last night and this morning my surround sound speakers wont power on. I think it blew a fuse inside the sub, but its replaceable. I hope thats what it is. I don't really use my PC much anymore, so I dont use the speakers. But I'm probably going to bring a receiver over and plug it into my TV so I can do surround on that some how. Either way, I'm on the little iPod with my new headphones.

I dont really ever use my PC anymore unless I'm out of bed or playing Counter-Strike. I could live without Counter-Strike. The damn computer is so ugly, its an eye sore when the room is clean. A G5 would look so much nicer just sitting there (since thats all a computer does, phsyically). I can't wait until I can afford one.
