Apple in-ear phones

I picked up a pair of apple in ear-phones yesterday, its my 2nd pair as I gave away my first pair after my iPod was stolen. I really liked them before, but now they're just kind of a pain, as great as they sound.

I forgot how awkward these are at first. They "fit" but its so easy for them to come out when I'm walking or sitting and I turn my head while having the cord tucked under my coat or shirt. I've really got to push them into the ear canal for them to sound like they're working as designed. Also being able to hear every time the cord rubs on something, or even hearing the internal vibrations of my body as I walk is weird, but I suppose thats from having my ears "plugged" anyways.

Perhaps blowing out my ear drum a couple years ago also attributes to the way these feel (especially in the ear that was damaged), but they're not nearly as comfortable as I remembered them being.

However, they block out noise really well for a set of $40 ear phones. A definate upgrade from the stock ear-phones that the iPod comes with. They're also beautifully designed.

Today

Today I:

Played video games.
Burned my mouth with pizzas.
Napped.
Cleaned.
Had my girlfriend watch me write my diary over my shoulder.
Fixed the toilet.
Made Chicken Nugget Strips for the first time ever. They were quite possibly the best chicken nuggets I've ever had.
I made an oreo cake (no bake).
I sneezed 3 times today too.

Freedom

One perticularly nice thing about have a real job is that I can do whatever I want with my website.

SERENITY NOW

I almost cried at work today. I was so stressed out and messing up everything I was doing that was assigned to me. Everything that was assigned to me was also due that day. Things I've had very little training to do. Things that take me about 15minutes now that I know how, and I had about 20 of them to do. ARG.

Nine Inch Nails loud in the car on the way home today (8.30pm).

r.i.p

So long SGI (formerly Silicon Graphics Inc.). I always wanted an SGI, until I totally forgot they existed. But it looks like they're done for.

R.I.P.

Their industrial design was amazing for their computers. Of course, it was a lot of form following function, but it was tasteful and thoughtful, a lot like apple.

I blame dell.
